For many people new technology can seem scary. In 2018 Google launched ‘Voice search’ as a tool available for everyone. But people were wary about using it - what was it for? How did it work? Was it listening to me? Google needed to demystify it.

We decided to demonstrate how it worked in a true story. But not just any true story. This was the story of Aum. A seven year old boy who ran away from home in Thailand. He wound up in a big city lost forever because he couldn’t read or write. He had no way of finding his way home. Until twenty years later he discovered ‘Voice Search’.
