MENTORSHIP

Nepotism is rife in the advertising and film industries, but has never sat ok with us. We do not give jobs and internships to the nephews, neighbours, or dog-walkers of our clients and personal contacts.

We are, however, part of the Creative Mentor Network, helping young people from lower socio-economic, or underrepresented backgrounds, into the creative workforce. As Exec Producer Anna writes, the value of mentorship flows both ways. Almost all eligible employees of Across the Pond have now been trained and taken part in the mentorship program.

We also support the Outvertising mentoring programme. The programme exists to help LGBTQ+ talent, either new to or looking to join the industry, thrive.

In the UK, we offer paid design projects to students from The BRIT School, the country’s foremost and free to attend Creative Arts college.

In San Francisco, we’ve begun a relationship with BayCat, which creates a pathway into the creative industries for women and people of colour.

In Singapore, our team is supporting Daughters of Tomorrow - a charity that supports more than 25,000 women from low-income families in Singapore who are struggling to find and sustain a living.
