Despite an incredible amount of progress made, quantum computing is very much still in ‘lab-mode’‘lab’ mode. Hardware has been built, software written and qubits wrangled. But real-world applications are unknown... We have a rough idea, but nothing specific.


So Google AI teamed up with the XPrize team to challenge other experts to find real-world applications to quantum computing. It aims to rally other expert communities to start thinking about applied quantum computing.
